DOCS, Doctors on-call schedule, is a personal computer based scheduling program that
optimizes the staffing of facilities and ensures an equitable workload distribution among a group of physicians.
Inputs include: requested days on, requested days off, and relative liabilities for each doctor. The optimization
method used is capable of incorporating the most complex staffing restrictions. Schedules generated by DOCS are graphically
displayed with succinct color coded diagnostics, whereupon they are accepted, modified, or rejected. Reports include
individual and composite schedules and a detailed accounting record. Current capacities are 20 facilities and 20 doctors;
a monthly schedule can be generated within 15 minutes. |
